I am so excited for you! I love getting to know all of my clients and building lasting relationships with them. My job is to guide you through the wedding day process so you can enjoy the day without a worry. My approach to photographing your wedding is to capture you and your loved ones exactly how you are, being your beautiful selves. Throughout the day I will capture moments as they naturally unfold while giving guidance where necessary aka: those posed family moments.

1. Connect Via Video Chat

Do we mesh?

It is so important to me to have a connection with each and every one of my couples. Every couple is unique and understand that to get fun, joyful, and genuine photos of their love story, we need to have a connection, and a relationship. I always say I want to show up to your wedding day and feel like a friend, rather than a hired vendor. That means - our very first step is connecting via a video call so we can get to know each other!

2. Let's Make It Official!

After our initial video call, if you and your other half decide we’re the perfect fit to work together, it’ll be time to make it official! All you need to do is decide on your package, and from there, I’ll send you an online proposal with your custom contract, invoice, and payment schedule all able to be completed online!

Once your 30% retainer is paid, your date will be saved and the fun will begin! From there, I’ll begin sending you helpful information like my list of vendor recommendations, a timeline guide and more. Then, the best part– we’ll start planning your engagement session!

3. The Engagement Session

This is my favourite part! Engagement sessions are the time where we get to know each other, I get to see how you interact together, and you become comfortable in front of my camera. We get to shoot in any location you choose, you can wear what you’re comfortable in, and there’s no guests begging for your attention. It’s just you guys and me, unfolding your love story.

4. An Easy and Stress Free Planning Process

I love being involved in the wedding planning process. My goal as a photographer is to make sure you have the most fun and stress free day possible. Because of that, I am extremely organized when it comes to your wedding day plans! Leading up to the day, I will help you create a detailed timeline for the day, a family formal photo list, and will send you a questionnaire to ensure everything runs smoothly. About 2 weeks out from the wedding, we’ll have a video call to go over any final details to ensure all goes well the day of!

5. The Wedding Day

It’s here! The day of your wedding goes by in an instant. I want to make sure it’s the most fun and stress free day possible, for not just you - but your family and friends. I arrive 15 minutes before our scheduled start time so I can meet your family and friends, get to know them, and scope out the lay of the land. I’ll begin with photographing the bridesmaids and groomsmen. My absolute favorite part of the day is bride and groom portraits, so we’ll ensure we have plenty of time for this! It’s my job to capture all the traditional & candid moments so that you can look back may not have even realized were happening to relive your incredible day.

6. Your Gallery

After the wedding day, when all your edits are complete (8-12 weeks post wedding), you will receive an online gallery of HUNDREDS of your images. I deliver approximately 75-100 photos per hour of coverage. From this gallery, you will be able to share your images with friends and family, download to your computer, share to social media and order prints. While you have full print rights to your images, I always recommend couples print through a professional lab if you’re going to make prints for your walls–the quality of professional labs is just so much better!! 

7. Album Design

I absolutely love wedding albums and they have such a special place in my heart. My parents have been married for 50 years and they still have their wedding album on their coffee table. I love looking through it and relive their love story.

If you get an album with your wedding collection, I will curate the album using your favourite photos as well as my own to make sure it tells your beautiful love story.

Where are you based?

ANSWER

I am based in Peterborough Ontario. Though, I am more than happy to travel for your wedding no matter where in the world you decide to to say your vows.

What is your photographic style?

ANSWER

My photographic style is capturing you and your loved ones exactly how you are, being your beautiful selves. Throughout the day I will capture moments as they naturally unfold but rest assured I will give guidance where necessary and make sure we have those posed family moments.

Can you hold our date? 

ANSWER

While I do not hold dates here is how you can book your wedding date. A retainer and signed contract are required and then wedding your date is secured. Wedding dates fill up quickly so get in touch.

How much is the retainer?

ANSWER

I like to break the collection cost up into three to make it more reasonable for my couples. The retainer is 30% of the package cost, second retainer of 35% is due three months prior to wedding date and final balance is due two weeks prior.

If we hired you, how does the process work? (Part 1)

ANSWER

Before you even commit to me as your photographer we will have a video chat to ensure we are a good fit, because we will be spending a lot of time together. I want to hear about your love story, your wedding plans and everything in between. Then if you think that I am a great fit for your wedding day we will go over my contract together. Once signed we will set up an engagement session.

QUESTION

If we hired you, how does the process work? (Part 2)

ANSWER

Three months before your wedding I will send you a questionnaire with lots of questions to help us both have the same vision of your day. You might even think of to-dos that we’re overlooked. I am with you from the beginning of your planning process to the end. Xo

QUESTION

If we are getting married outside Peterborough Ontario is there travel costs?

ANSWER

Yes. A travel fee of $0.70/km will be added for those locations outside of a 45km radius from my home (Peterborough, Ontario).

Do we have to feed you during the wedding?

ANSWER

Yes please! (Especially after working all day!). I love being sat with your guests and hearing more stories from guests about you two. Feel free to throw me onto the seating chart too!

QUESTION

How do we receive our photos?

ANSWER

You would receive your photos through an online gallery where you can download both high resolution and web size jpg images. From this gallery you will also have the options to order prints, frames, albums and more. Even thank you cards! You have printing rights so you are able to print your photos anywhere you like, though the quality of the printers I have chosen are excellent.

You would receive your images 8-12 weeks from your wedding date.
